The Brightside isn’t owned by some faceless corporation with quotas to hit. In fact, you get to see a lot of our family’s faces - all three generations. Our family (The Dixon’s) are music-loving artists that love to travel and make friends wherever our adventures take us, and The Brightside often brings the adventure to us!
The beauty of The Brightside is that we have been able to create a free-spirited and welcoming space for genuine people. Our mission is simple - to bring people together to celebrate love, enjoy art, and build stronger community bonds…and have a good time while doing it!

We're both Dayton natives and love supporting local businesses. We wanted to book a space that not only felt like "us" but one that was also heavily invested in our community. One of our favorite things about living in a city like Dayton is how close-knit the community is – The Brightside checked all of the boxes with their positive impact on our city and passion for bringing people together.
Alec and I met when he was in a band so a lot of our relationship revolved around live music so the fact that our wedding venue doubled as a music venue was a big draw for us. It felt like the perfect mix of formal and fun.
Our wedding was nothing like we expected. Planning a celebration during Covid was disappointing in so many ways but the team at Brightside was not one of them. They went above and beyond to help us navigate our celebration and showed compassion every step of the way. Their ability to be prepared in such a confusing time was impressive and admirable. We are so grateful for all of the help.
The Brightside has to be one of the most professional and affordable places to get married in Dayton, I would suggest them to anyone.
