Sample Brightside Ballroom Floor Plans

We get asked all the time about possible floor plans for the Brightside Ballroom so we’ve included some of our most popular layouts for you to get a better idea of spacing and possibilities.

Every event is different when factoring in guest count, dinner service style, band vs. DJ, and what extras you might add like a donut wall or photo booth etc. However, these floor plans help break the room down by use and size without sacrificing guest comfort.

Please note that all of these floor plans include the bride(s)/groom(s) and wedding party as total people count. Max occupancy in the ballroom is 230* guests for a seated dinner and 350 for a standing cocktail-style event.

*This is an absolute don’t go over number. Not only does our occupancy not allow this, but it also starts making the space feel uncomfortable and makes it too hard for your caterers and other event staff to work properly.

Ceremony on Stage with Floating/Center Dance Floor in Ballroom

This floor plan was created for a smaller wedding during Covid that wanted as much of their event as possible in the ballroom with social distancing still possible. This floor plan sat 100 people. You could easily take the same floor plan to 144 people by adding 4 more 5 ft round tables and setting them for 8 guests each instead of the 6 guests shown here. You would need to remove the High Boy or Tall Bistro Tables to add the extra guest dinner seating.

Dramatic Central King’s Table

Another ballroom floor plan with social distancing in mind without forgoing style. This floor plan features a dramatic central king’s table with a sweetheart table and lounge groupings on the dance floor for performances and some dancing. This floor plan sat 122 as shown, but could easily go to 176 by adding 7 - 5ft round tables sat for 8 people including replacing the sweetheart table with another 5 ft round. Your buffet tables would need to be set up in the Vod-Vil bar with the increased seating.

Chalkwall Head Table

The chalkwall is a popular feature to use as a backdrop for your head table. This floor plan seats 174 total people.

Note: The chalkwall is 22' wide. If you want your wedding party to be visually ‘contained’ within the chalkwall, we recommend these table configurations. If you’re going to sit the wedding party on both sides of the 8ft tables, farmhouse or kings tables (8’ x 48”) work best for more room for centerpieces, bridal bouquets, etc. down the center.

  • Three 6ft tables = 18ft and can seat up to 14 in the wedding party (if sat on both sides of the 6ft tables) and the wedding couple. (SHOWN ABOVE)

  • Two 8ft tables with a center sweetheart table ) = 20ft and can seat up to 16 in the wedding party (if sat on both sides of the 8ft tables) and bride and groom.

  • Three 8ft tables = 24ft and can seat up to 18 people in the wedding party (if sat on both sides of the 8ft tables) and bride and groom. This configuration will slightly go off of the chalkwall by 1ft on each end.

Chalkwall Head Table with Long Banquet Tables

This floor plan photographs beautifully and can seat 194 people. The 5ft round guest tables are shown with 10 seats, but we do want you to know that makes the tables feel light. It’s optimal to keep them at 8 guests, which would lower this floor plan down to seating 174 people total.

  • Three 6ft tables = 18ft and can seat up to 12 in the wedding party (if sat on both sides of the 6ft tables) and the wedding couple. (SHOWN ABOVE)

  • Two 8ft tables with a center sweetheart table = 20ft and can seat up to 16 in the wedding party (if sat on both sides of the 8ft tables) and the wedding couple.

  • Three 8ft tables = 24ft and can seat up to 18 people in the wedding party (if sat on both sides of the 8ft tables) and bride and groom. This configuration will slightly go off of the chalkwall by 1ft on each end.

The central tables shown here are 8’ x 30” banquet tables and not farmhouse or kings tables that measure 8’ x 48”. Caterer will have to break down buffet tables before dancing can start. Caterer can also remove the cake table after the cake is cut.

Ballroom MAX 22 Tables8b.jpg

Max Ballroom Seating with Head Table & Sweetheart Table on the Stage

This floor plan is the best configuration for large wedding parties. In fact, it’s the only way that we can arrange the ballroom to accommodate these higher guest counts. Some seating will have to be on the stage - there’s no way around it.

Here the stage is set for 20 in the wedding party plus the wedding couple at the sweetheart table. There are 22 5ft round tables set for 8 guests each for a grand total of 228 people between the stage and main floor.
